years ago i threw a juicebox out of my friends car window, he stopped and asked me to please get out and pick it up - he had a garbage bag in his backseat that i was to use.

i felt like a total ass and havent littered since.

now i do the same for people who litter. if i know them i ask them to please pick it up, or if i see someone i don't know litter i pick it up for them (there is usually a garbage nearby.)

people are idiots.
