wisdom teeth :(
I think they are finally growing in, booooooo!
my back gums are sore, especially the lower left back :( I just want to sleep :( Can someone tell me what it feels like when your wisdom teeth are just growing in? oooowwwwieeeee *sigh* I dont like this atall!

no I havent, perhaps I should have though! don't you get them pulled out as they are growing in? I hate the dentist too *shudders*
I could use a little wisdom, but no more teeth thankyou very much! grrr.

ya, i had mine taken out Umm..2 years ago i think, its a rather "interesting" process they go through to "pull" them out...lol, i dont wanna scare u by telling u anything...but go get checked out when u can, the sooner the better...
when i woke up after the operation, i was talking to the nurse..i was like "whoa, i feel really funny" she was all like "ya, the anesthetics(sp?) will do that to you...i asked her where i could get some from...lolz but i hope u feel better babes...u'r too damn cute to be in so much pain :(

i actually enjoyed the feeling of biting things against the gums were my wisdom teeth were coming through. it just sorta felt like when u got an iritated hang nail and u press it really hard over and over again.. its awesome

have u ever had to have a root canal?
i have, now THAT sucked more then my wisdom teeth coming in...i was at work and it was killing so much...something that helped though, was i'd take cold pop(or water) and jus leave it in my mouth on the side that hurt..it made the pain go away for a few...maybe try that?

You guys got low pain thresholds.. how can a root canel hurt? i got my front tooth knocked out at the bar, and there was a little stub, and i was really stupid and left it for a few days while i continued to party.. then the root starting coming out of the tooth, so i went to the dentist and he was freaking out telling me i shoulda called right away, and he went in there with a huge wrench like device and gave it a good scraping.. i've gotten needles in the root, i've had the root picked at with that poky thing, and now i gotta go to a gum specialist to have him cut into the back gum and up into the roof to see whats going on and scrape it a little.. i dont really give a shit i just hope he has a good movie playing...

i used to paintball everyweekend...i cant take some shit...i've shot myself with my paintball gun in the stomach pointblank cuz my friends said paintball hurt..i was like, no it doesnt BAM!

i got mine out almost a year ago. They didnt really hurt that much before i got them out though, and the pain afterwards really sucks. All i can remember about the operation is the dentist injecting the anesthetic into my arm, and feeling it travel through my veins.. it was very cold. then i blacked out.

ew mine are growing in too! I know exactly what you are experiencing it is so annoying and uncomfortable. T3's do help though. I am supposed to go see my dentist on Thursday to see if they are ready to be taken out or whatever but now I can't make it so I have to re-book it, meaning I will be waiting extra longer to find out what I can do about these wisdom teeth that are attacking my gums. :( BOOOURNS

get them out and not recover intime for spooky(cuz i know yer going) or go through pain and wait till after spooky...oh the decission...

Wants the pain to go awayyy :'(
Ok well after reading these posts, despite all the pain I'm going through... I feel a lot better knowing what's going on with me. I woke up this morning and I could BARELY open my mouth!!! The morning before it was all sore and tender on the right side of my jaw, I just thought I slept weird because it went away during the day. But this morning it was 10000 times worse and it's still lingering around to the point of me having to research it!!
So what do I do now??? Get them pulled or will the pain go away? I'd rather just wait for the pain to go away but I really can't see that happening anytime soon and I definitely don't want it to get worse. I cant even sleep. Of course this has to happen to me during Christmas and New Years!!!!! Anyone have suggestions? Will the pain eventually go away?

Wisdom teeth are something we've evolved to not need anymore. Basically they hail from the days where dental hygiene wasn't such a priority. Eventually people would lose teeth and in order to be able to keep eating we need new ones coming in.
However, nowadays that everybody keeps a full set of teeth (usually) or has teeth replaced, wisdom teeth really aren't needed and they end up just crowding up your mouth when they come in, causing pain, impacted teeth and just general all-around badness. Why are so many people waiting until they have pain to get theirs pulled? Doesn't anybody ever go to a dentist anymore? I had mine taken out loooong before they became an issue.
