Unfortunately, I also rely on perogies as my emergency poverty rations. Hence, when I am out of food and out of money, hiding there at the back of my freezer are the precious, life saving, potato and bacon filled gems that redeem the Ukraine's very existence (well, perogies and those funny little coloured eggs they make there too). So I find myself eating perogies sans tasty topings more often than not. =*(

Perogies are meant to be eaten one way and one way only.... you need sour cream, farmer sausage and garlic-fried saurkraut. Any other way is unacceptable!
