Medication side effects

I'm feeling so sick! I just started a new perscription yesterday and the side effects are just horrible. My vision was completely blurred and distorted for almost 5 minutes today! Then the dizziness started to kick in. :(...i just called my doc cuz i'm feeling like shit and he said I shouldn't be walking around or anything :S....I hate side effects of drugs.

Cautions for this particular med: Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to this medication.
Side effects for this certain drug are as follows: dry mouth, headache, indigestion, blurred vision, dry eyes, dizziness, and/or drowsiness.

sometimes you have to wonder if the side effects are worth enduring to cure whatever it is you're on medication for. :\

^ yea I made a list of pros and cons...and yet i'm still unsure if the meds are worth it

^ if you've already started them, it's best to at least finish it up. otherwise you're stuck with the side effects and no cure to what was ailing you before..

Smart... :P, but yeah id finish them up if i already started them... your body probably adjusts to it after a little while.

AD medication?

I've found those don't /really/ help in the desired way.

They make you feel better/different for a while, this slowly tapers off until you just feel blah. Stop taking them, and you get all sorts of wonderful effects. You feel bad for a bit, then when THAT is over, more often than not you feel better than when you were on them.

Paxil = horrible withdrawl effects.
Effexor = Not BAD effects, mildy entertaining, somewhat annoying. Hard to describe.

Side effects: Inhibits "walking around".

Yeah, that's not a good thing.

Perhaps you should get a second opnion?

the side effects aren't so bad n e more...I think it was just that my body wasn't used to the medicine . hopefully i don't get n e more side effects.
