i absolutely can't stand it when i'm standing at the bus stop and people stand beside you and smoke... if i were a smoker i would be so very considerate of people around me and stand away from them and make sure which way the wind is blowing

i try to stand away from the non-smokers in public, a courtesy and respect thing.

listen, this really pissed me off, because while i take the time and thought to stand away from people like you, its when ONE smoker doesn't and everyone just starts stereotyping "PEOPLE WHO SMOKE"

and dude, its NOT the people that smoke that are at fault, its the people who have no consideration to begin with that would do such things, and they arent that way because they smoke, they are inconsiderate because thats who they are. ugh.

^it's a fair stereotype because a LOT of smokers are very inconsiderate to their surroundings. for example at the mall, there's people standing 5-10 feet from the doors at all times smoking, with no regard for the people around them. another example, rain. i stand in the rain instead of crowding doors undercover at the bus stop or at the movie theatre etc when i smoke because i am considerate to those around me. i choose to smoke, they dont choose to be exposed to second-hand smoke while waiting for a hot dog from the street vendor.

^and so a lot of you should be. You pick up a nasty, unhealthy habit and then expose people to your bad choice. I'm not saying ALL smokers but a lot of them.

I'd say that all non-smokers have the right to bitch about being exposed to second-hand smoke.
