Gettin ur industrial pierced in winter
Yeah, I'm not sure what I was thinking!? Hat, hoods and toques - we are no longer on speaking terms! This is a no earmuff zone. And its COLD! And I have so many cute hats and toques I could be wearing! And I am not allowed to have a bad hair day bc I can't wear hats for a little while longer... Oh and why haven't they invented a pillow with and ear sized hole it it? That would make sleeping on my left side again *much* easier. It's not the end of the world, but these are the things I'm thinking about as my ear is throbbing a little. But it looks so HOT :) That's what I keep telling myself... Hehe.

lol its my fave piercing..definately takes a while to get use to though. i have a dent in my ear from my industrial now that just cushions the piercing. doens't take long to heal either! take care of it well and clean it lots! im sure it looks fab on you!

^ Thanks for the reassurance Bev! It's itchy, but I think mine's already starting to look like its gonna be a nice, quick heal. *thumbs up* I've got that Bactine on it at least three times a day. I've had pretty good luck with cartilage piercings in the past, so I just can't wait till it's all settled bc it is a wicked piercing :) Yours looks fab hun - I peeped it at Simple!

ya ppl think its a crazy piercing..but its really 2 helix's that are a bit thicker gage...and the bar is just through the 2 holes. its nothing crazy and it heals super fast as long as you wash it properly. lots of vit e ! =) have u seen any other barbells that looks nice in an industrial.. im thinkin any color would look cheesy. hmmm curious.
*sooo itching for a new piercing*

All the coloured bars did look cheesy *thumbs down* I didnt see anyhting different/neat either. And I know what u mean about people thinking its a cray piercing - People at work are like "Oh that looks like it hurts!". Well, yes, the peircing proceedure itself hurts a bit, but nothing like my tatty. And I hafta explain that the bar isn't like "going thru my ear", its just two piercings that share the same hardware. Getting a piercing or knowing someone who has makes u want one. My mum's friend wanted company to go with her, and I was like sure I'll get my ear or something done, and ended up with my industrial. Haha. But vitamine E? good to know. Taken orally or applied to it? While its healing or after? The girl said about 2 months total cleaning properly/hearling time. That about right? I heal well in my ears... So this shouldn't be bad.

bev - people will think anything that isn't a straight up little ear stud in the cartiledge/lobe is crazy.
i don't know if you've ever seen my orbital, but i get the whole "wow, that's so crazy" thing too. and it's really quite a normal piercing. heh

If you go snowboarding or somewhere cold it seriously sends coldness throgh your whole ear.
I had to take mine out last week. I'm devastated. I loved my industrial, but after two or so years with no problems my ear suddenly started growing up along the bar. People kept saying it looked funny or painfull so I had to take it out. And now I have two funny scar tissue bumps on my ear. I'm thinking about getting a new one on the other ear but I'm worried the same thing will just happen.

wow cheryl that's crazy neat! next time i see ya i wanna see it up close!
my parents wont let me get my tongue pierced..and for some weird reason i actually respect them for it. im planning to eventually have it done for kicks and see how long i want it in for. thats the thing about piercings.. u can always take it out and some places wont even scar. i want a tongue ring pretty damn badly.. i jsut wanna see how it feels like.

i'll let you inspect my ear next time i see you bev. ;) i got my tongue pierced recently (october!) and honestly, it didn't feel like anything. the least painful piercing i've ever had. no pain, healed fast and i like it. i haven't downsized my barbell yet, but it isn't that big so it's not a problem. i also got it far back enough that it doesn't hit my teeth so chipping shouldn't be a problem. [ps - if you do get it, it took my parents almost two months to notice it. and they only did because i yawned (standing up) in front of my mom (sitting down)]

ppl with their lip or labret pierced AND their tongue done is super hot. it looks like one continuous piercing..but not. cheryl ure lip ring is my fave on you though.. dont know any girls that can pull it off with class like you do.

I had my tonuge pierced for 4 years and took it out just a couple months ago. U get kinda tired of it after a while, but I used to LOVE it. It gets hot and cold when u drink hot and cold stuff. It is relatively unnoticable like u said, charly. I had a pinky purple, small plastic ball on my barbell. It was camoflagued with my tongue and also bc it was small and plastic I ran less risk of chipping my teeth. I never did! I like it out now tho. Kissing is softer... And it doesn't get caught on everything now! Its a fun one tho, Bev, u should go for it! Eventually. Oh Bev whats this vit e business!? Explain how u suggest using it pls :)

Tee hee. I would prefer the bottom of my navel done, instead of my top, but I had the top pierced once before this and it scarred quite a bit, so I had it redone so that the barb will cover the scar. I had my nose done once bfore too, but with a ring and it looked so punk so I took it out. Nice! Ya, good call on waiting for your tatty until you're really sure what u want. I've thought about getting the bottom of my navel done too... Both my Mum and sister have both top and bottom done, but I'm not sure if it's *me*... We'll see!
