we had some lights around our front yard and we woke up yesterday morning and someone had stolen only the middle section

and they were the leds

man LED's are expensive.... Ya know I honestly don't understand why people steal shit from others. The level of property crime whether if its stealing someone's lights to breaking into someone's car or house is absolutely stupid. I mean christ they'll steal anything. Next thing you know there ripping the clothes off your back literally when your walking down the street.

i like the look of the really really dark blue ones

besides they use 95% less electricity and last up to ten times longer than a regular incandescent string of lights, and if one burns out...the whole string doesnt burn out

Light Emmiting Diodes. The most efficient lighting system around. You can use them in areas that have combustible gasses, as there is no spark in the bulb. the builbs don't really burn out, either. I have an LED headlight that has been running on the same AAAs for two and a half years.

If they were the "white" LED strings, the joke is on THEM.

Because the white ones look scary.

Dark blue, red, green, those are okay.

I'm not sure if they use "white" LED's in colored plastic,
or colored LED's in colored plastic.

I think the latter would look far better, since white led's look crappy and always have.

Maybe in a few years, or when they can create a LED that looks more like incandescent.

Whoever can do that will make a lot of money.

ya good luck on them ever being able to produce a natural white light with leds...unfortunately its near impossible.

but it would be awesome if they could
