ARGH!! Gimme a job already!

So I found out today I didn't get the job I was hoping on. I thought the first n second interviews went really really well too... like I totally got along with the interviewers n shit and I have the qualifications but no I got shafted.

I send out gobs of resumes every week. I have a poo load of office experience and other experience like wtf? I've even signed up with 4 different temp agencies and I never hear anything from them. I get maybe one interview outta 20+ resumes sent out and then they never call me back to say I didn't get the job (which is annoying as hell because I ask them to call me either way).

Fuck I even talk to them about my piercings and how I understand some people dislike them and that I'm willin to take them out and still I get nothing.

It's just so goddamn bloody frustrating! I need a job so I can get back on my fuckin feet and get out of my parents house cuz White Rock is driving me insane and I need money to save for school.

It's so depressing... I feel like punching things and crying at the same time.

*sighs*

This is when you should find a poor unsuspecting pillow, punch it untill you can't anymore, then cuddle up to it and go to sleep.

Unsuspecting pillows have done me no harm... not to mention it feels so much more gratifying to punch something of substance i.e. a wall or person.

Agreed, punching someone may feel better than a pillow, but people fight back. Pillows don't.

Ya I know... things also fuck up with time *grumbles*

It's not like I haven't dealt with this before I just thought it'd be a hell of a lot easier with 3 years office experience. Apparently not.

Back to the classifieds I go.

A lot of the places I apply to I get on job sites online so all I really have is their info/human resources email. I need full time office work... if I were looking for service/food industry or retail jobs I would totally follow up but like I said it's a lil hard with the jobs I'm applying for.

Also a lot of them say not to contact them that they'll contact you just because of all the resumes they recieve.

*stretchs*

I just applied to 13 more jobs today.

Blah.

thats a double edge sword. it can do wonders but some employers look at it different. to some its an act of desperation which they dont like. but i think it will probably be helpful most of the time.

what kind of piercings do u have in.. if it's not that many have u considered maybe taking them all out before the interview and doing the interview without the piercings? even though that's maddd discrimination but it's just a thought.

Visible... I have a nose ring, a vertical industrial, 0g lobes (w/plugs in instead of my 00g tunnels), tongue ring, and a madonna.

I don't take them out before I go on interviews because it would be a pain in the ass. That why I talk about it with my interviewer and say that I'm willin to take them out and that I understand that people have misconceptions about people with piercings. Every time I've brought it up none of the people have had a problem with it and they've told me I come off as a very intellgent well rounded person and they won't base their decision on my piercings. A few of them I've actually discussed my piercings with and they ask where I got them done and such as they have daughters/sons that have a lot of piercings.

I got an email back from one of the places I sent a resume off to tonight though... they said they'd get back to me shortly so I guess that's a good sign.
