Personally though, I don't know, it's reading things like this that makes me never approach women. I don't want to be "That creepy guy" they go tell all their friends about in order to cleanse themselves of the memory. So I don't say anything. So I don't get dates. k i'm normally an extremly shy guy around people that i don't know cause that is just who i am but if i'm in a strange town i'll strike up a conversation with someone sitting near by. most of the time it'll be a girl cause i'm a guy and i would feel weird if i just struck up a conversation with some random guy. i love meeting new people and having a "one on one" conversation cause first off you get to meet someone new and if you talk with the right person you can find out some really cool stuff. Downside:even if you do have a bad experience and they go around telling all their friends about this "hot but creepy guy":182: it doesn't matter cause it's in a different town. Upside: if you have a good experience you got a new friend to party with in a town you don't know and you'll probably meet some of their friends

Thats kinda weird, at a bus stop?? haha. That pathetic. Nothing wrong with striking a nice conversation with a cute girl at random places, but asking you out? Thats definately creep material. A nice conversation with strangers is always fun, but there are some truly weird guys out there.
They should make some sort of repelant.

hey at least a guy that is like 15 and thinks he is a thug didnt hit on u at a bus stop... cuz yah just cuz our eyes happen to meet doesnt mean i want you! i swear he kept looking at me, and when i happened to look in his direction he was all doing that flirty smile thing... puuuuuul ease buddy.

yeah it can be a big turn off to be hit on on public transport especially by older men because considering the time of day, the day of the week and the location you're being hit on at, you can get a sense of where that person is in their life

I dunno, personally, i try to strike up conversation with everyone. bus stops, food courts, parking lots, where ever. If i'm just standing around and the situation is right, often i'll break the silence and tension by saying something. especially if it's a 1 on 1 situation.
ever been on an empty bus with 1 other person? i can't just ignore that person. i gotta communicate and see what's up. I'm not trying to be creepy (unless i am.. yeah, so what. i'm creepy) i try to be polite and interesting about it. if the person doens't look like they wanna talk, whatever. i tried. and yeah, i agree with neoh. it takes some guts to ask a girl out. but you know, i find pretty girls to be psycho. i have a much easier time talking to people who are laid back about the situation. i try to avoid the straight arm. and you know what? every guy checks out every other girl. but not every pretty girl is every guy's type. girls shouldn't flatter themselves. i think they should just appreciate the gesture and/or conversation.

you are very right!^ but there is a line between being creepy and being a nice guy.. your case is a nice guy... but trust me ive seen my share of creeps at the skytrain/bus station.. i got followed some OLD guy kept bugging me for my number... so im like okay! and i gave him my bfs just so he would fuck off..
