Paying twice as much for something because it has a logo

I decided to pick up a 1L Nalgene water bottle at yoga facility and now find out I could have gotten it for HALF THE PRICE at MEC without the silly logo on it. :(

I had a feeling I was getting ripped off too but the cute instructor was quite the sales lady.

i have a pink nalgene bottle.. i duno its just super handy. it doens't stink up like lots of water bottles and it fits A LOT of liquids so its handy for the full day. and they also come in tonsss of pretty colors too.

It's kinda like buying things for an Aircraft. The Alternator for a DA-20 Katana (Small 2 Seater Plane) is the same as a '92 Civic. At a Wrecker you could pick one up for like $20, once you want an "Aviation Certified" one for a Plane it jumps to about $250.

Myra, there was a point in time like 6/7 years ago when MEC was one of the few places in the city you could buy them. They're way cheaper there than anywhere else, too.
