Yeah, their produce is mostly imported from California and the prices are re-dunk-diculous.

I survive a lot on fresh produce, so I always gotta buy a ton at a time, it's best to go to produce stores that carry a lot more 'local' product at a fraction of the cost! I get a week's worth for less than 20 bucks, so I can't complain.

I also used to get organic produce delivered to me, it was only 26 bucks once every two weeks for what I got and you got an awesome variety (it was raaad in the summer, huge juicy organic peaches..unnnf!)

I grew up with my aunt, n she let us have whatever... But I always chose fruit. My cousin always had candy... I uno... I think my grand-pa loved fruit so much.. and I looked up to him when he was around.. so that's why I took to it so much. Sugar just ain't my thang!

Oh man...

I was over at my mom's place on Monday, and she had strawberries in the fridge. I knew right away that they had to be good, because my mom doesn't normally buy them in the winter (even the Cali strawbs aren't usually any good this time of year). I picked up the little basket and almost fell over from the yumminess of strawberry smell that came out.

I stole 4 of them Frankenberries (because we all know that Cali strawbs are all genetically engineered to be bigger), and OMGWTFBBQ were they ever GOOOOOOOD. Come to think of it, I think they came from Kin's...

yeah. i don't think they have any idea what prices are other places in the world. "5.99 for 2 pairs of kimchi noodles. we think that's fair".

yup, there's a kin's farm market at city square on 12th and cambie
it's awesome because it's in the same mall as safeway, so i can get the two for one deals on their meat, and then go buy my cheap produce at kin's.

safeway is a HUGE ripoff when it comes to produce.

In Israel a cucumber costs 20 cents, and mangoes are 30 cents. The exchange isn't that different either, it's crazy here! I bought a bucket of cherry tomatoes for 3 dollars there! Here, i spent 20 bucks on half the amount! Like honestly, no wonder so few people here eat salads made with real vegetables rather than lettuce, it's too expensive to eat healthy. FUCK!

Cherries.....I musta spent hundreds this summer on cherries.
It's like they say "If it's juicy and red, jack the price up! they want them so bad, they'll pay anything to get em!" I feel bad for people who can't afford to eat good fruit and juicy vine tomatoes:( It's a pleasure in life that everyone should be able to enjoy:P
