BumFights.com ... not as cool as advertised!
Most likely, like me, your friends at some point or another have regailed you with the "hilarious" antics of the videos found on bumfights.com . So I take two seconds from my day to download their latest offering "BumFights 3" . Expecting to see some hilarious footage , mixed with subtle humanity ( I read they paid the homeless, there's gotta be some good in that ) ; I was disgusted with the result.
It's nothing more then degrading the homeless by seeing how low they will go for things as measily as a sandwhich . They fight each other, perform terribly painful stunts, shit in public, tattoe "Bumfights" logo's on their faces... Don't think I'm some high moral cultivist. I love low-brow humour. When the Tom Green show was located in Canada I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I read tuckermax.com and tard-blog whenever I find the time. But bumfights ? I'm sorry but it just makes every element of my soul cringe. Even more upsetting is the fact that a bunch of stupid kids made over 6 million making the tapes, and paid out about a total of 500 dollars in goods to bums. Boo-urns! PS: Blingbling however is sweet, and a breath of fresh air. The way he's treated is not. |

After I saw them do 'Crocodile Hunter' on some poor homeless guy who was just minding his own business, that was it for me.
I love the low brow stuff too.... Jackass is one of my fave shows ever, but tying up some guy while he's trying to sleep is too far. The guy had no idea what was going on and was begging for them to just leave him alone. Like his life isn't bad enough that he needs this shit to happen to him. |

Yeah blingbling is the highlight, he recently got his own webpage at www.blingalong.com .

Bum fights, people? Really, now, that's like the lowest of the low (I think somewhere just above genocide). Deriving entertainment from the suffering of already-disenfranchised people while often rewarding them with alcohol so as only to fuel their physical, psychological and societal degradation . . . For shame; for shame.
