he came back from some church retreat. i was at my mom's house and they ask me to boil some hot water ten minutes before they got home. i was finishing some stuff, and then he comes home ranting and raving that i'm 'irresponsible' and that he's hungry and tired and expects dinner.

to this of course i call him on his bullshit and tell him to stop being a brat. he says he'll kick my ass, and i say go ahead you faggot. i'm sitting down and he swings only to smack my scalp.

mom gets between us and i'm smiling and he's on the verge of tears.

My big brother can be all up in my shit sometimes, but he's my big brother, and he's always going to be a wee bit protective of me.

Yeah, it can be annoying, but he's got okay intentions.

This reminds me of a Seventh Heaven episode where Simon and Ruthie were reading Matt's love letters after he had written them. Then while they were reading one their Dad, the morally upstanding Reverend Eric Camdon, caught them and told them to stop. Buuuut.... he caught a glimpse of the letter which said Matt was already secretly married at 17!!!! This caused a huge panic in the house as you could imagine, their son, Matt Camdon, married at 17!!!!

It turns out Matt just wrote that letter to fool Simon and Ruthie because he knew they were snooping through his mail!!! Boy were their faces red! But what a relief for Mr. and Mrs. Camdon, phew!

Is there anything Seventh Heaven can't teach us about!?!

i'm 22, there's no teenage angst.

without getting too personal, family life for me seems pretty perfunctory. mom and dad say whatsup, how's school, work, etc. and we move on like ships passing in the night.

i'm sort of annoyed by them actually. you probably think i'm a jackass for saying all this. i dunno. i don't love them :(
