getting a job

why is it so hard for me to get a job?

it's either they dont want to accept part time workers or because i am in college

as a college student, having a 4 days a week schedule, mostly off on afternoon. I have lots of spare time, for now anyway, until mid term comes, it will be projects due every class.

Don't blame it on being a student.

I never had a hard time finding a job when I was in college.

Most likely you don't have any hireable skills.

Please don't take the easy route.

It is so easy to get a part-time job in this city. Jim is right, it's probably because you're not selling yourself to the company, your resume doesn't cause employers to take a second glance, or you're not being personable when dropping off resumes. Also, sending email resumes is like a 1/20 chance they'll take a 2nd glance at your resume, and that jobbank.gc.ca--> hiring student thing is so weak. It's better to talk to friends to see if their employers are hiring and to go drop off resumes face to face for crappy part time jobs.

keep applying everywhere...it was hella hard for me to find a job but i just kept applying at every store i saw that was hiring lol... and i got hired
dont give up.. as u keep trying... a company will soon sense ur positive vibe then u get hired!
