I think it's a very scary thought, to even think of Harper as PM. However he's not forcing a country into an election. A no confidence vote has always been apart of Canadian Democracy. It ensures that if a minority government is not working out, a new election can take place. This puts the power back to the people, so they can elect a more responsible government.

An election will take place anyways, Paul Martin has already mentioned this.

although, i heard that they weren't going to try to bring another vote of non-confidence in until maybe the fall.

You're right about the no confidence vote being a part of Canadian Democracy, however, Mr. Harper's interest are merely in furthering his own self-interest... basically he smelled blood and went after the liberals like a hungry animal.

Harper and the conservatives have made me lose my interest in them forever. They went ahead and joined with the bloc quebecois in these votes. In other words they joined hands with the seperatists who want to see canada fail miserably. Currently I still have my head high for the liberals and am waiting at the end of the gomery report as to what the findings are and what not. By that time I can make my decision. As far as I am concerned with the gomery report some of these so called "whistle blowers" have been contredicting everything they are saying and really almost can't be trusted.... So no one can judge the liberals at this time at all. What even sicken's me more is that the conservatives then try and point the finger at the liberals saying that the liberals want quebec to seperate.

Ya I understand, but you have to understand the ethics on how court proceedings go. The gomery inquirey environment is actually under of a somewhat court order. You don't see people being executed when their case is still being disputed or what not. So you can't find anyone guilty at this point. As far as I'm concerned if the numbers don't tally up at the end with what has been presented by the people involved then justice gomery can easily dismiss any judgement. These numbers have to be on track based on the report that has been presented. If they don't then no one will know really what happened.
