bro, its the same old story. I’m pretty much a geriatric now, so i've seen my fair share of this going down. Perhaps its a alpha male kinda thing, its most definitely a testosterone/booze fuelled thing, and is probably an insecurity thing.

On another note though, if your coming in all chachy, and arrogant, its a very easy way to get the drunken violent type sweating you. I’m mos. def not telling you, that you deserve this, but perhaps just chilling out a bit yourself and not letting that kind of shit "the stares" get to you. But perhaps the sting of having this shit go down in front of your lady, may have insulted your ego a bit, and is still lingering around? Fuck it, ladies may or may not love "badboys" but what do you do when faced with five guys? Just keep your head up, stay relaxed and walk away. The more that people did this, the less 18 year girls would get caught in the crossfire, a la a bullet.

The mirage? Burnaby clubs? - perhaps mavericks or the standard in new west or even whatever the onyx has turned into? Its the same old, same old suburban thuggery bullshit. I spent a little while in these places as result of working the restaurants in bby + coquitlum, and it was the same thing. In my case many a "hopped up thug" happened to be friends and I had to calm them down, and in all cases it was over a girl, caveman bullshit. So just relax, perhaps start bringing a buddy along or too, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind hangn out with some girls either! And all of sudden things get a lot more chilled, and lot more fun - ya dig?

Although thuggery and bullshit is everywhere, places like top 40 uber popular packed bars/clubs with small dancefloors and massive "mainstream" guests get a bit extra, so perhaps when just with your girlfriend, it would be cool to check out some more chill spots- hit me, or anyone else up on this board for suggestions-

Glad to see you took my advice and worked on it a little bit, although in all truth your first slam was second rate at best, despite what you may think. It really achieved some eye rolling at most. A good slam should induce laughter rather than annoyed utterances of 'Come on buddy that was SO weak'.
