GAH - Christmas customer service.
So I went to Best Buy the other day to buy a VCR. The cable in on my TV snapped off, so instead of getting the TV repaired, for a large amount of money, I bought a VCR for a cheap amount of money, intending to run my cable through that and run the RCA's into the TV.
Well the first guy that was helping me was great. As he was answering my questions about the VCR, this other butthead butts in. He not only decides he knows what is best, but he completely steals the sale from the first guy.
So he tells me, instead of running it through RCA's that an "S" Cable is better. Better for picture quality, blah blah blah.....So the first guy shows me the cheap cable, and I of course take that. Although dickhead decides I need the $40 one. And berates me for 15 freaking minutes on the value of the $40 cable. I am not that concerned about picture quality in my bedroom.
I advise him that I don't think that my TV has and S Cable input. But he insists that it does, that all TV's made in the last 15 years do. I say okay, but am still leary. I ask does the VCR have this connection, and he says yes it does, that it is top of the line as far as VCR's are concerned.
So I get home, go to set everything up and of course, my TV does not have the connection. I am not so upset about that, I kind of knew it. But what I was pissed off about, was after all that and all the bullshit I had to sit through to get the fucking VCR; THE FUCKING VCR DIDN'T HAVE AN S CABLE CONNECTION.
ANYTHING TO MAKE A SALE!!!!!!
I returned everything, made a complaint and have decided to buy a USB TV Tuner.
