working boxing day

...working 12 hours on boxing day with one half an hour break..SUCKS big time

otw ( off the wall ) was packed! we had a line across coquitlam centre, starting at 7am..of girls jus waiting to be let in

the store was a suana .. the change rooms stunk! the whole store was gross! The ppl were pushy, and rude.. and a girl passed out ..

.i hate boxing day..
..and tomorrow it begins again except i work 10 hours.. am i having fun yet?

i heard ur store was NUTSO

mine was alright, but we were understaffed, though al lthe girls said it was way busyier last year

we got two 15 min breaks. deffinatly not enough.

its the afternoon til closing that killed us...

i felt so sick today... i felt really dizzy cuz it was so busy!!

12 hours went by sooo slow... im so happy its done... im lucky and got a day

off tommorow! imma sleep in ALLLLLLLLL DAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!

seriously though, in just about ANY industry you have a time of day, a season or time of year when everything gets a little hectic and crazy for those working...and for the retail industry, BOXING DAY IS IT.

Working 12 hours can really suck, but it also means really good money which can be totally welcome after you've probably spent way too much on xmas gifts.

12 hours doesnt mean much of a reletive increase in pay worth the pain, anguish and suffering that all you retail slaves go through on boxing day! My prayers are with you all week!!! Boxing day mobs are the scurge of the earth!!!!! And i was one of them TODAY!! oh god i need to take a cold shower!!!

i wish i could agree with this one.. but retail sucks for good pay,
at the end of the day you think you made alot but really you only make time n half after the 8 hours of your regular shift, after the 8 is time n half..

I recieved an extra 4 hours of over time but after taxes it will only look i worked for an 8 hour shift... damn taxes!

...score another 10 hour shift today! bring on the crazy customers!

haha suckers! i work in a call centre and was making double time and a half on christmas day/boxing day.. all to sit around and browse the internet :D
