My Computer Decided To Go Fuck Itself Rather Unbelievably!!!

FUCK! Ok, so I actually manage to stay off my computer for one day because of late shedules and work et all, and what happens?.... ...Well....I find it with a black screen, blinking cursor, ok, so I'll just reboot it and all will be well and good with the world, right? No, it gives me this screen saying that it needs to replace some initialization file with a recent version, but this shouldn't be a problem, ok, hmmm, press ok, restart... Little subtle things are slightly different, like some colors, and layouts...oh yah.... And none of the programs work! they all require serial numbers, or reinstallization, or they can't find the .exe file!!!! My browser doesn't work until I reconfigure it! msn is gone... icq is gone... hotmail doesn't work (?), my audio programs just give me a bad attitude when i try to open them.... ...yet, in my recent documents folder, the last msn word file I looked at is still there so obviously some things were still retained from last week n stuff... Ugh... the thought of having to reinstall and reconfigure everything doesn't please me in the least... yeah, computers are fun things, my bf is always having to uninstall then reinstall things, mostly windows, reconfigure, reboot, re-this, re-that, re-everything, because the piece of crap hewlett packard is always crashing and dying or one program won't work with another one unless ALL the programs are installed in a certain order. it's ridiculous, i think the computer is posessed. i'm so glad he knows how to do it cuz i'd be lost.

Yah, I have the norton anti-virus program. Im not quite sure how it works but Im fairly sure it was doing a good job...I think... =|
Now I've narrowed down my internet problems to the fact that my browser no longer lets me view secure pages... No online banking, no hotmail, no online record ordering from their secured order pages...also, my ICQ doesn't work... I seriously can't figure this out. grrrr i hate when my computer decides to be bitch and doesn't work. In the end u just have to easer everything and it's so fustrating because i have everything on my computer and i hate losing my icq it's such a pain trying to get everyone back on ur list.
ummm jon i have xp and it hasn't given me any problems yet ... and i really like it ... i can do sooo many things that i wasn't able to do w/ my last program
