You ever watch one of those fishing shows on TNN? The always catch all these fish and then they chuck 'em back in the ocean!!! WTF is this man??? Fuck, take the fish home, gut it and eat it for fuck's sake!!!

What I find really fucked up is those hunting shows on TNN where they take kids out into the bush and teach them how to whack a deer with a high power rifle and capture it all on video.
OK... so I am a city child, but I find it disturbing that kids in the US are brought up this way. Teach them in private, but don't spead the idea all over the country. As for the fishing issue, I think these are the same people that watch golf on TV.

i find huting stupid.. well if you're gonna eat and use everything of the animal (well almost everything) fine its cool then.. but those "trophy hunters" are stupid badly! they just kill the deer for status!..fuking idiots!

when ya think about it.. discovery channel films animals having animal sex.. that's juss as sick.. it's like. animal porn. it's like.. most ppl prolly don't like having their DOGS watch them intently as they have sex... (unless u like having "sex" w/ ur dog...uhhh ew).. so they prolly don't like having camera men hiding in the bushes and taping them either... per-ver-tayed!! uhhh yeah...

ok...fishing....i saw a fishing show in that coffee place today..(yok/aims remember?)....and it was stupid...i think catching fish is yucky..poor fish..i know how it feels to have a hook stuck in u...*pain*...if u just let them bakc into the water..won't they just die neways do to hooking injury?..blah..~
and the hunting...people who hunt to survive...then yeah..u need food...but those who hunt for fun...for animal parts (ivory and stuff)..for sport...fuck u all....killing our animals..and sticking a fucking deer head in ur wall...u people make me sick!.. oh..and the animal porn...that reminds me of wut i watched in bio...it is weird...i never did think of how they'd just stand there and videotape..(yoko)...and then people who screw around with animals...ummm...thats just gross...imagine how ur babies would look like..~... lalala~!:029

The fish are just fine afterwards. Usually the hooks don't go in that deep. They are gently wriggled out and the fish is released. As for the pain they feel, it is assumed that it is minimal because of the dearth of nerve endings in that part of the fish's body. The wounds heal up within a couple weeks.

okay all be it i can't stand watching fishing shows... but think about it... chances are they have exceded thier limit for the catch of the fish that day of filming so they have released them afterwards.. ...most of the fishing shows beeing seen nowasdays espcially if its sport fishing ...most if not all of the hooks have been debarbed... and being an ex-sport fisher it's not all in the fish its also about the fight agains nature and the beauty of nature and how well you can pit yourself against the fish even thouhtg you have all the equipment and the fish just has a tail...
