Who killed nwdnb?

Props to Kylee pointing this thread out to me.

Dabber has pretty much got it dead on. Soda and Matty definitely did top the bandwidth but there has been a lot of other people using the site for all sorts of promotional reasons. Which is great, that’s what its there for… I say big up nwdnb and its members for pushing the boards limits. Signs of growth.

Extra bandwidth has been ordered, actually since last week. To make a long story short, nwdnb’s server hosts have some serious customer support issues. The site ‘should’ be up anytime.

In the mean time I’ve been checking out other server host options. There are a couple host that’s offer insane deals on server plans where bandwidth wouldn’t even be a issue anymore. The site will be moving servers this month but it is going to take a little time to set up on the new server.

There will also fee's implemented for hosting as well. I’m still considering the best method for that. Possibly along the lines of a few $$ a mix...

As for a fundraiser, plans for one are being worked on. Any money raised for this will be put towards the costs it takes to host nwdnb. As was the money from last years fundraiser.


Anyway.. Hold tight, nwdnb will be back in action in no time.
