Job closing down, I get no compensation??

So,

I go into work yesterday, and the party that was suppost to happen got cancelled, so they told me not to bother opening, I was like fuck but ok.
(I work at a lounge/restaurant)

Then!
Today, this morning I go in and they say its been too slow, so they are closing for 2 months!

WHAT THE FUCK!

I have made next to nothing working there, Im behind on bills, NOW THEY DO THIS TO ME!

Is this legal?
I have worked the past 3 weeks unpaid.
So that should be covered right away.

Also, shouldnt I get some kind of compensation? Like 2 weeks notice, or 2 weeks pay?

E.I. isnt really an option because it takes time to file and my job was minimum wage plus tips, so E.I. would be next to nothing. not really worth the effort.

HELP!

Generally, the less notice provided the more compensation you get.

I'm not too sure if it applies in this situation because it doesn't seem like you lost your job entirely, but you got laid off- which makes it easier to get on EI.

Ya, I am not to sure what to do.
going on E.I. well I have only worked there for about 2 months so I dont have alot of pay checks to show what I have been making. Also, E.I. only gives you a % of what you were making.
They just recently moved me up to manager and were getting me to start new advertising campains through there. So I was going to be getting more pay and I was moving up to 40 hours a week.
But I dont really have proof of this to file into E.I.

It sucks because so many plans were happening to start generating more business, but the owners have kind of givin up, they are jsut taking the easy way out and fucking me over.

Going into work today, and them telling me it is closed down! No notice, and I have been doing so much work for that place in my own time, now all for nothing.
