She's magically better now that her free ride is over and she wants her old job back. Union rules pretty much force me to give it up... not a thing I can do.

Worst is they expect me to train her! I was told that I'm so good at my job that they want me to train her... she specifically asked that I do it! How the hell am I supposed to be nice to the lazy bitch who's taking my job??

Boss man is going to enroll me in an A+ class or something just so I may have a chance in getting in on the tech side of things but there's no guarantee. He told me that they don't want to lose me but the union has their hands tied. They don't even want this woman back.

Shitty deal when you're told you do an excellent job and someone can just come and pluck that job away from you.

Slip some g in her pop at work and tell them she's doing drugs on the job...

sorry to hear, i had 2 jobs taken from me in a similar fashion.... exept they weren't well paying so i took it as a vacation.

I know nothing, not even karma, can make this better Shawn and i am so sorry this had to happen to you. It seems really unfair, and coming at a really bad time.. and it really sucks because chances are she was on disability for a major mental illness (if you said why i missed it) and there is a high chance that she will get sick again and have to leave her job.

You ARE the better canidate for the job, but it seems like their hands are tied and they have to learn the hard way. (not feeding into the stgma surrounding mental illness but two years is a long recovery, every case is different, and i'm sure she could be great...but i'm doing the math and see a relapse in the future)

I have faith in you though, i know you'll pull through....thinking positive is key, don't make yourself feel worse by reminding yourslef what reality could serve you. that's not your fortune. Your not that guy. Ok! Your NOT . That's me. or some other guy. Not you. You are not this guy.

That sucks man... I know the feeling as it happened to me with my Assistant Airport Managers Job at Boundary Bay. Maybe it's a sign that you'll be moving on up to bigger and better things.
