spiders!

There must be some on the loose in my room because I am being EATEN ALIVE by them :(

I've tried vaccuming my room thoroughly twice, washing all my bedding twice and even having fresh eucalyptus in my room (as they HATE the smell) and only the last thing has seemed to work temporarily. For the life of me, I have no idea where these buggers are hiding because my room isn't really cluttered and I can't find the web anywhere.


uggh this sucks, how do you get rid of those jerks. :|

how do you know it's spiders?

You should get the repellant that you spray on the entrances to your suite (window and door ledges). It works fantastic!

^ I've heard lemon pledge works because they have their tastebuds on their feet and they HATE that shit. Maybe I'll try that.

I'm not afraid of the buggers at all, I just hate the bites :(

Usually cleaning only takes care of the ones that are out... They are hiding in the walls and the corners where you can't see. If you are serious, you need some kind of poison. I guess it would probably depend on the type of spider to. If they are coming up from the floor, then you need a barier of somekind around your bed. If they are coming from the ceiling, you got problems. I am only speaking out of experince at my cabin. So it might not apply to your situation. Apperently if you leave walnuts on the floor it is supposed to do something as well.. but that was from my grandma, so I dunno if that is one of those, back in my days things...

Seriously Myra, I can't handle them. I lived with Bren in White Rock for a while, and I had to move partly because of the spiders.....

haha absolutely certain, you can see the bites showing clearly it came from a spider (two fangs!)

In an average human lifetime we swallow 7-8 spiders in our sleep...those fuckers just crawl right in there...

Not sure if that's an urban myth or not...

i recently had a ridic nasty spider bite on my neck (turned black) and i did a little research. it's really rare to get multiple bites from spiders, you should make sure to get a prof opinion about whether it's a spider bite or not. you don't even live on ground level do you?

i've heard the walnut thing too.....but i can't see you placing walnuts around your room! pledge would be the best thing i think.......the smell wouldn't be as bad as those chemical things

Nah 5th floor...

where are you reading that it is rare to get multiple bites from? Cos I think there may be more than one in there, I'm thinking they come from more than one but I'm not sure. I'm amemic and I've read that insects LOVE amenic blood because it's sweet to them or something, I always get eaten alive by like mosquitos and stuff more than people.

Last week I got 2 spider bites. And I made the mistake of scratching one of them... Holy hell, it swelled up like mad- so I freaked and saw a doctor to make sure that it was only a spider bite. Thanks to that I hate those ugly lil spidery buggers even more than ever. *blech!*
So my tip- do NOT scratch it!

can't really recall, i just googled a bunch trying to find out what kind of spider bit me, and it was a brown recluse spider, i think the comment about mutiple bites may have been in reference to that particular spider. tho in all reality, not many spiders are going to want to be near a human, so it really should be rare that they would even approach you. i guess the anemic things makes sense, i am too. my bite was brutal, bout the size of a toonie with two fang marks in the middle, and almost dark black. didn't swell, didn't itch, and i didn't notice it at the time, just saw it later. pretty sure that means a massive amount of nerve toxin cuz it pretty much just killed all the cells with no actual reaction from me. the mark is only just now fading and it was over a month ago...
