Fuck...this is my biggest pet peeve. The older lady at my work was taking like six 5 minute breaks during her shift so she could 'have a quick puff' Drives me fucking mad. So I made a rule that you could take one 30 minute or two 15's! Being the manager rocks.

i totally know what you mean.. at my work people always stand around talking and smoking and now that i quit if i try and talk with them while thier hacing thier smoke and the manager walks by i get in trouble for not doing anything and slacking off

That's the problem with "managers" and "supervisors," they're always telling you what to do. Work for your self and you avoid the whole problem.

a reputable employer should be monitoring an employee's breaks (how many they take, how long, etc.) in larger organizations (which i assume christy is part of) , because when nobody is following guidelines, it creates an imbalance somewhere which can largely impact productivity.

what's funny is we even have a security system in place, where workers have to buzz me in order to get back into the building if they leave. Last week,
they were smart and started to prop open the door with a rock to avoid the security system - so what did I do?

.... I walk over there every hour and kick out the rock so it locks.
