OH THE IMMATURITY!!!!!! (kinda long)

so I'm sitting in class next to two of my ever-so-chatty friends during the middle of a guest lecture.

girl A who sits behind these girls tells one of the girls (we'll call her girl B) to be quiet.
girl B ignores her and continues to chat away.
girl A tells girl B to shut up again and tells her it took her 6 hours to get to school that day and would appreciate if she could actually listen to the lecture.
girl B ignores her again and says "If you don't wanna hear us, sit in the front of the class". not only this, but she decides to be even more of a difficult bitch by starting to rip up pieces of tissue papers and throwing it at her.
girl A gets annoyed and throws these tissue papers back at her.
girl B then takes it up a notch and starts dipping the ripped pieces of tissue into her coffee and throws it back at girl A.
as the throwing continues, it gets worse as girl B throws a banana peel at girl A.
girl A decides she will not put up with it and throws it back at girl B at the back of her head.
girl B stands up from her chair (this is all going on while the guest speaker is still talking), walks over to girl A who is behind her, takes the banana peel and shoves it on her face.

by this time, the guest speaker has stopped talking and the whole class is looking at them. everything kind of stops right then. I guess to make things less uncomfortable, the guest speaker just keeps talking and soon everything is seemingly back to normal.

later on during the break, people are wondering what the heck went on. a girl in the class asks girl B what happened. girl B explains that girl A was picking on her for talking, saying she has anger management issues that she should not take out on her. she blatantly lies and says that girl A did all the throwing and the only reason why she shoves the banana peel on her face was because she was tired of all the things that girl A threw at her. when the girl in the class mentions "uh.. well from what I say, it looked like you were doing the throwing". girl B says "no, it was all (insert girl A's name).


ok, the worst part of this is girl B is actually (or perhaps I should use more a past tense) a good friend of mine. I heard her say all of this to the other girl in my class but I did not have the heart to call her on her lies. I used to trust her and enjoy her company, but after acting like such an infantile puta, I seriously can never look at her the same way again.




GAAH, seriously, this is a fucking third-year university class. I would think that this sort of shit that should have probably stopped in highschool!

I hope if Girl A catches any flak from the teacher or administration for shoving the banana peel in your friend's face you'll at least give them a third party account.

it was actually girl B who shoved a banana peel in girl A's face.

I saw the two girls discussing it with the instructor after class (because in nursing school, we're all here to empathize, care and talk about our feelings. :p ).

I don't think anyone got in trouble, but I've been telling my 3rd party account to the people in my program just so girl A won't get a bad rep for something she didn't even start!

After attending university for a year I've realized that the majority of the people really arent very smart. Maybe it's just that i'm in the contemporary arts faculty and not sciences or business, but I pretty much find myself rolling my eyes every single class after some pseudo-intellectual raises their hand and rants about what they thought about an art piece or some bullshit symbolism that really isnt there. No one cares if you liked the painting. We're not hear to discuss your opinions and value judgements. Hang yourself.

i did 2 years of post sec. i liked it. but then i traveld for a bit....

now i see that college is mostly filled with pseudo-smart-ass know it alls waxing poetic cause they just read the latest noam chomsky book or have recently been spoon-fed information and ideas re-gurgetated to them by their bullshit ploi-sci professor...... wich is certainly re-warding and enlightening for some.

Just not for me.

A LOT of folks who go to post-sec these days do so just to get another 'bullet point' on their resumes, or are merely making use of their loans, grants, and family-sponsered tuitions while they fuck around doing other stuff. Those who go to actually learn in advanced study fields seem to be a rare lot.

^ True, and a major ain't shit unless you immerse yourself in your field of study. It is also not an end but a jumpstart to other things like a masters or Law school or something. Lots of people get BA's, don't learn anything, and end up never using their degrees.
