@#$%^& msn! help needed

For some stupid reason my msn is being all screwy. It logs me out and keeps telling me that "MSN Messenger has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Does this mean that I have to remove it and then re-install it, or what should I do? And if I do that (pardon me for being 'dumb) but will I end up losing my emoticons and other such msn stuff?

Well, I have windows messenger on my computer as well and it's working perfectly fine as is my internet connection so I don't think that's it.

I had msn 7.5 or whatever it is and it did that once and then I signed back in and it's working fine.

I've tried signing back in several times.. but every time I do that thing either comes up right away or a few seconds/mins later. :( It doesn't like me.

I think it may have something to do with me attempting to download a patch for it so I could run both my msn accounts at once.. :S
Only thing I can think of to fix it now is to re-install it.

why wouldnt you just run windows messenger for one account and then msn messenger for the other??
Patches can be great or really fuck things up

^ I have been.. but a girl friend of mine is running a patch that enables her to have both msn's running on the same version, and that's what I was wanting (I like being able to see peoples 'personal comments and msn pics).
It's been so long since I've had to download msn I don't even remember where to. :p
