Nice place, nice decorations etc, food was semi-okay, wish they could do something about the freakin fruit flies!!!! The classic mai-tai that they forgot until Carrie spoke up was enuff to make me drunk after 5 sips.

The server kept buzzing the table like a hawk, which annoyed me alot. Felt she thought we'd pull a dine & dash.

First time I didn't give a tip.

I liked how she wanted to take our plates when we weren't even finished, and when we did finish and push the plates to the side of the table so she could take them, she walked right by and didn't take them.

I went to a place called "Tai Food", expecting Thai food. Looking around at other peoples' plates led me to believe it was more like "Chinese restaurant in food court food".

Then I asked for a glass of water, and she told me it would be 50 pence ($1). Then when I got mad and told her that was ridiculous, she didn't understand english well enough to know what I was mad about.

Holy 12 kinds of angry!

Walked out and went to Subway.

Ahhh Subway, you'll never let me down.

But fuck, I miss Vancouver restaurants so much. Food in England is so fucking shit. And really, though I've found the occasional good restaurant, nowhere has had as consistently varied and delicious cuisine as Vancouver.
