record swap update: have nailed down 3 turntables and 3 mixers/amps. still looking for 3 more of each, but it should be easy. no need to offer anyone.

in the process of looking at locations: centrality, accessibility being the key factors im using.

will be on a saturday during the day but not early in the morning.

still looking for a venue actually. everyone wants money. we are thinking we may just do it outdorrs and set up a generator and chillin the sun. but its not set yet. sigh.

i was 1 second off you must have posted when i was writing! lol--my bad!!---well, lets brainstorm a good venue!!

ideas??----i dont know how well an outdoor venue will be!--what about a community center, im sure they would be down for that!!??

this is the list of what i think are plausible cc. im going to check trout lake tmrrow it would be the best one as it is central to the city.

renfrew - renfrew station
kits - granville + burrard
trout lake - commercial/broadway
false creek - granville/broadway
thunderbird - rupert station
mount pleasant - granville + cambie/granville + main
roundhouse - downtown

Haveing an event like this at a record store could actualy bring in a lot of bisness?

The false Creek CC is annoying to get to. And I'm not sure what you mean for the Kits one - granville and burrard are parallel, and neither are extremely close to it?

I used to used the upper room at the Kits one above the Ice Rink and was never charged - but that was on week days. For a weekend it may be a different story.

Perhaps there is a smaller club, lounge or restaurant that would open its doors a little early for you to hold this event?

i still say we spend 30 bucks on a generator, get sum tables n extension cords hookerd up to it.. n just do it in a park or sumthin.. like look at the beautiful weather we're having:)
