nice job ma friend....a few more tweeks and edits should have it gettin really quality........it might help abit if the beginning started off a bit quicker....a build up is aways needed but it was maybe a few seconds too long...jus a suggestion from an external perception... cant wait to come by and hear what you guys are working on...

yea i know the intro isnt done yet, im not sure how far i want to go with that, and as soon as we get torq working again we can record the edits.. its being tempermental

i spent all day just touching it up, and got really excited to hear feedback, so here it is

Vocal dubstep?

Great instrumental, but I'm not a Tupac fan. One suggestion I could think of is to add a timpani behind the tom and see what it sounds like. I bet it would add a lot of depth to the track.

lol that is a timpani..

and putting more oomph in it meant muddying up the bassline (due to competing frequencies), and putting a hole in the basslines eq for the timpani to punch through made it a little too flat.. i just went with the lesser of two evils

imo its too fast to be dubstep, (slow it down a little and it can mix with dnb pretty smoothly) tho this tunes bassline in particular had a dubsteppy flow... some of my other shit is more glitchy, some more funky, some more drumnbassy.. most between 90-100 bpm.. ill be posting more clips in the near future

Ah, my mistake. What's that timpani tuned to mang? Must be higher than the ones that I used to play could go.

its part of a church sample bank i aquired, limited note range tho. i suppose it could be bigger, eh?...

hrm maybe ill re-sample it and lower it an octave and layer it with the high one.. problem is, it might sound like shite all stretched. well see when i get back to the lab
