Friday/Saturday is getting boring

Friday and Saturday is getting boring for music in the clubs. I can't go out during the week cause I work early and live in Slurrey. I don't really like going to parties cause they are expensive, I can't drink, my bedtime is too early, and well, they suck(most of the time). Anyhow I'm starting to get tired of deep/sexy/tech/blabla house. I was on a total kick for a while, but now I'm just sick of it. I wish there was some breaks/jungle/hard techno/ fuck even hardhouse or trance night on Friday and Saturday. :105: :105: :105:

Organix, plays goa trance/techno on fridays. August 2nd, a second room opens up with hard techno/freeform.

Actually its a pretty good club.

The Top 40 side pulls an avg of about 300-600 people on Fridays, we're trying to build up the electronica side (we're Room 2). Our side is still pretty volatile, max we've had in our side is 60-80, sometimes its totally dead. Our objective with the night at this point is to build a consistent crowd, and it's working. Now wer're at min-20 / max-60, better than a month ago where it was min-0/max 40. Having a guaranteed Top40 side helps building the night, because if our side is dead at least its not a waste. You can cruise the Top 40 side for hunnies and drag them back to the good music. LOL. (i've seen it done)

We tend to get a lot of crosstraffic from the other side, people who were dragged there by friends and really hate Top 40. We also are getting a lot of looky-loos who are finally realizing through word of mouth, flyers and whatever that something is going on closer to home. Come check it out. I'd like to meetcha cuz I have some ideas about that weekend thing. ;)

Lets just hope there isn't a shooting again on the other nights. That turned alot of people away for a while.

I think it happend a couple of years ago on a hip-hop night... I had never been there but had wanted to go (they had a dance music night)... People basiclly stop going to that night cause of the violence(fuckin plur j/k). I dunno, maybe It didn't happen. But I do remember hearing about it.

Yea it would have been a long time ago. I remember the place when it was like "hiphop" madness. Gang colors everywhere. Nasty attitudes. Scary.

Its all changed and new owners since then.

i was almost at that shooting as i remember..........lex was playing @ 54 and i was gonna go meet him and cecilia to pick up some tickets..........it was a while back like just under 2 yrs i think? anyways i think nurse kimmie ended up helping the guy out.?
