Back home in Jamaica we original junglists all used to play the violin. when we would have our jungle parties the highlight was when the SELECTAH would pull out his/her violin and play some sick tunes for the crowd.

Because this was The Best Ever, we would call for the selectah to play their violin as soon as possible by calling BOH. aight? and because "BOW" doesnt sound like "BOW" in writing, it is now allways spelt "boh". That, and because we are badass.

Boh isn't even a jungle thing I heard sublime doing it back in the 80's. It's obviously has ragga roots somewhere. This is just a guess but I'm going to say it sarted as a way for the crowd to show apreaciation for the DJ or 'selectah.' Anyway like K-Pryde said it's all about the music. Fuck this whole egotistical junglist sub-culture. I just want the beats.
