Booking a Techno DJ ... ?

ok, we've been trying this for quite a while now, and damn, Techno is a hard to do in this city. But we still want to keep pushing it and bringing in talent, who more often then not, are more talented then most out-of-towners coming through vancity.

so far we've brought in:

Nigel Richards (611/system- philly)
John Selway (Intec/Ultra/Primate/Tronic/Journey By DJ's- nyc)
Dj Brian (Moontribe/Ritual Sounds/Moonshine- LA)
Dj Brad (Moontribe/Ritual Sounds- LA)
Carlos Miguel (No Robots- Seattle)
DJ C1 (Intec/Zozan- UK)


So the question is, what Techno DJ would get you guys off your asses and down to see an amazing set?

Yeah, Id assume he still DJs since he still produces quite a bit, he just released his "unreleased dubplates" or something like that on Bush and STX(which i think is his label) and hes been doing lots of remixes... He came out with a big hit a while ago called "Push"(It was on DJ Dans Instereo Cd... and charted by Badboybill for a pretty long period of time)

umm..seriously. i'm not much of a techno fan...but TIGA would be wicked...electro, and a tonne of breaks..mmmmmm

most of thoses other dj's would only do well in a big afterhours club...which unfortunatley, doesnt exist in this city....techno is something that is only effective late at night and for a long period of time....imho

Marco Carolla on three turntables would be sick. So would adam Beyer on three turntables.....so will danilo vigorito or chris liebing, how about dj rush!! =)

Vancouver is still years behind other cities in terms of techno.
if any of the names mentioned in the poll do arrive in vancouver, im there for sure.....

Beltram's stuff is good, definitely swaying the housey funkified end of things alot more. He was supposed to play in Seattle last year.. dunno if he did. Seems like Techno isn't very big there either

Well its not really huge anywhere in north america really(atleast to my knowledge, well except maybe detroit), the only place Ive heard of where techno is THE choice of electronic music is Ireland... But yeah, Techno should be way bigger in this area of the globe! Fuck technos sweet =)
