No note worthy acts in the hiphop scene from what i can tell.

Aesop Rock, Little Brother, Spank Rock, Cut Copy, Marc Ronson, The Streets, Murs, Cool Kids, A-Trak with KidSister.... Nothing special.

I'd love to see Cut Copy and Marc Ronson...but that's about it (ok maybe Murs...but someone else better would probably be on at the same time)

all my most fond memories from shambhala is surprisingly enough not the music (although it's great). I just love the environment and the kind of people it attracts. The ill music is just the sweet sweet sugar frosting!

Out of all the festies of been to Shambles is still the best, just based off vibes (& rules, music was probably the worst)

Been to large ones in Bisco in NY and Sashquatch.

Bisco probably had the best music and Sasquatch had the best stage (but lame rules & people).

which site did you use to get that quote from?

i just priced bellingham to san francisco for about $200 on expedia (leaving 22nd and coming back on the 29th).

also tried bellingham to palm springs leaving on 24th and coming back on 28th and got $450 return.

also according to coachella's website people only use LAX, or Ontario and Palm Springs airport. which airport did you use to get that price quote?

I'm an artist, the networking opportunities at shambhala are incredible. I've never met so many creatives in one place. Unfortunately I wasn't really prepared for that last year, I met lots of artists but only managed to keep contact with a few.
This year I'm bringing a card/portfolio/demos and going to make more of an effort to make connections during the daytime rather than just lounging with my friends.

not everyone goes to shambhala for play alone. If that's what you want to do there, all the power to you- but you'll be hard pressed to find another music festival in b.c. which attracts so many talented/connected people.

It happened when Coachella was announced. This happens all the time. Rage Against The Machine was the big one last year.

Running out of time, they went to friend Perry Farrell, who reunited Jane's Addiction in order to headline that year's event. Since then, it has become somewhat of a Coachella tradition to reunite at least one band for each festival.
