Ipod to computer transfer

Anyone know the best program to get music off of my ipod to my computer??? the last time I did it it screwed my ipod up and i had to re format it

Why does everybody always recommend the one thing that doesn't work?

iTunes only lets you sync your iPod with one library. If you want to move it to another computer you need to use a third-party program.

You can transfer the raw files like it's a hard-drive, then use an renamer program (see download.com) that could take the ID3-tag and turn it into the file-name.

Or, get Winamp and install ml_ipod plug-in, there's an option that you can copy-to-harddrive... real easy with that, but I don't know if it's that easy if you've initiated the iPod with iTunes already.
