The best downtempo album ever?

If there's one genre I know inside and out, it's downtempo. I've tried hundreds of albums and found this about a month ago. Somehow it slipped under my radar, weird. Many of you prolly know it already. It was released in 2006, in Japan only. And it's fucking beautiful. I just can't get enough of this album. Love love love love love it! <3

i love almost all the music posted, but i have to say sty wars is the best album i've heard and it happens to be down tempo. i've been listening to it for about 10 years on a regular basis and i'm still not sick of it.

Portishead's only (to the best of my knowledge) show in Van @ 86 Street or whatever it was called @ that moment was absolutely STELLAR!!! Never thought they could pull off their studio sound, live, but they rocked it!

Cheers for the emancipator, dude! Been keeping me sane through the holidays in Onterrible!

Of worthy mention is Bill Laswell's ambient d/t remix of Bob Marley, "Dreams of Freedom". Brilliant morning music!

Also, some great tracks on a comp called "Slow Motion".

And, yes, "K&D Sessions" still stands up!
