lately i have been finding a lot of songs out there hit pretty hard. maybe i am going through an emotional time and all, but still...i tihnk there a re a lot of great songs out there that seem to come straight from the heart rather than written to sell records.

heres a few of my favorites right now:

good charlotte - emotionless
staind - epiphany
john mayer - somethings missing
dave matthews - grace is gone.

ok they are all kinda sad i guess, but they seem to come from the heart - and that makes them so good.

Well crafted lyrics a beautiful thing to listen to. I often find that an artist has an ability to write moving, powerful, meaningful lyrics or they don't. So rather than list songs, I'm gonna mention some artists instead, cuz I think that all of the following have more than one piece of gold in their treasure chest of songs:

- The Cure (Robert Smith)
