these guys work so well together and are seriosuly creative with their mixing... plus its tite as fuck (well it is a studio mix :keebler: )

fack.... 7min 15 secs in.... tease with snowcats, gimey, waterhouse dub, deadline, planet dust, mo fire, twist em out, squash, squash remix all in the span of less than a minute.... fack i'm blown away

uk drumnbass styles with dmc champion skills under their sleevez.... how many fuckin decks is this anyways?!?! fack!!! just imagine a set like this on the Valve sound system..... :shake:

i'm pretty sure that wasn't done on the fly, i think they put that 'cocktail' together in the studio...

Illfingaz had a similar thing on dub for his intro when he played here a couple of weeks ago... his was quite a bit better imo

they've certainly got some skills though. I could do with a little less anthem smashing, but this mix is tight. His MCing's not too bad either :smoke1:

hahaha yeah its a fullout anthem mix. i'll admit even though that tease 7 mins in was fully dope, seems like all uk drumnbass djs in that leauge that do teases in the first place recycle the same ones (the nine, snowcats, planet dust, grimey, alien girl etc)

kinda seems like theres a manual of how to play like a ukdrumnbass dj out there that all of them follow =p

but anyways, i'd say this mixologists set is uk drumbass at a higher level... i dig their party rockin style since the skill and creativity is more apparant

i'd be very, very impressed if that were an actual tease, but it's not. they combined all those tracks onto one dubplate special. It's a cool idea in itself, but i've heard it done before to better effect. Illfingaz one used twist em out, champion sound, planet dust, original nuttah, junglist and more, along with some of his own classic tunes. And who remembers the one that Roni Size & crew used to drop all the time, that was a mega-mix off Full Cycle & Dope Dragon classics?

actually on second listen, i think a couple of those tracks are teased in (ie twist em out) but most of em are on one record

well if they got 4 decks (or more?) and 2 djs going at it, that 7 min tease is definetly possible to pull off live. i mean they are dmc champions.. tricks like that are what they work on for years to consistantly pull off.. theres not much beatmatch work involved either since they play about 2-3 seconds per tease which isnt really long enough to go significantly off beat. but i wouldnt be surprised if that was a megamix on dubplate since its SO DAMN TITE!! hahaha

I was quite let down by the drum n bass warfare tour night, the sound problems really fucked up the flow of the night in my opinion. The mixologists burned it down at automatic though the following tuesday!! They fuckin' floored it the whole way, just madness!! And their set ender was the same as the one in their mix on dnb arena, that song is quite simply breathtaking to say the least.. that remix of the sos band's just be good to me is out of this world, too bad they didn't play the whole one on the dnb arena set, oh well!! Did anyone remember when adam f was just starting to go on and he played just a tiny bit of the vocal by accident, I was like oh my god what the hell is this and what the hell is he doing..hahahaha!!! That was a great night at the lotus, shoulda been a better turnout, it woulda been a nuthouse!!!

no, the original is more slow breaks tempo, around 110 bpm i think. the one they play is a white label exclusive.
