well, are they?

I've had mine for years with no problems.

They have a bad rep but I'm not sure how honest it is. If I was at work I could run down some similarly priced mixers in case the Numark name scares you. Maybe tomorow.

the new numark dxm series looks nice.. there's the numark dxm 01, 03, and 06 and they're all under 500 i think

im getting a stanton sa-3 on the weekend.. i tested it at tom lees and i liked the feel of it.. $320 or so

hmm what else...

if you can find any of the gemini umx series you should get one... they're the only quality gemini mixers and they stopped producing them so it miight be hard to come by

ecler smac pro30 is supposedly a great deal too

I'd love a vestax but the 05 pro doesn't come with mids and I'm not sure if I want the PMC17.

Funny you should say that, cause I'm selling mine.

http://www.electronicdynasty.com/for...d.php?tid=2404

I've been using it forever, and still use it as a studio mixer and it's perfect. I don't know what kind of 'wierd problems' they develop other than a bad reputation. I suppose I just got a good one cause it's never given me any prolems.

reezo has the same mixer(2002X). no problems whatsoever and we've bagged on it. it's dabbler's old mixer, and reezo has had it for over a year. it's seen some mileage and it's still goin strong.

something good to start out on for sure!

I just found mine developed knob problems and fader bleeding rather quickly. A couple friends of mine have them and they had the same problems.

I dunno, maybe it was just one batch of them that were kinda shoddy?

or maybe I just have bad luck with gear :)
