here's what I gather about dirty/clean nu skool
dirty nu skool is nu skool breaks with crazy basslines that go through mad resonant filters and effects until they sound like acid-lines
clean nu skool is stuff with nice and crisp sounding sub basses that tear your speakers up in a good good way

dirty isn't a bad thing it's just the context you use it in... for example saying a girl is dirty is a bad thing, but saying a track is dirty is a good thing... just cuz a track's got distortion and isn't super clean sounding doesn't make it bac, just ask Tipper about that one, I'm sure he'd agree

Alright now. True breakbeat headz, here's the facts: the 'dirt' in question is simply referring to the bassline. 'Cause the beats are usually tight and clean as fuck. Now on the other hand have you ever heard E.V.A.C., or some old Freq. Nasty joints, or some tipper(aka buckfunk 3000). Ain't nothin' clean about that shit. I've been spinnin' nu skool, dark steppy breaks and dn'b for a while now, and I would never play no fluff. No way. Plump djs are about as soft as i get. But you can't resist those fat basslines, now can you. Oh yea, Hybrid isn't nu skool. That's rediculous. Maybe they use a couple of deep basslines, but come on, seriously. And tony faline? Damn, that's just an insult. That dude makes some pussy ass shit. Can anyone say 'florida trancy cheese fluff breaks?' Fuck Trance!
