Anyone who accesses my mp3 ftp site please read *Update in effect January 28, 2005*

People are trying to hack into my site and in order to stop this I have changed access to the ftp site to require a username and password for access.

Now people are ruining it for others by leeching gigabyes of mp3's and killing my bandwidth even though I have stated not to do this so I have to make ANOTHER change.

I have restricted the form/kaos login to 80Mb per session, if you wish to download 700Mb you will need to PM or email me and I will provide you with a personal username and password.

Use the information below for regular login with 80Mb per session limits.

For brower users type (or click on this link) ftp://form:[email protected]:69/ and it should get you in.

Please make a folder and upload to that folder and not into the main directory.

I have enough maintenance to do without having to clean up after you.

I am below 1Gb free on one of my servers that the uploads go to so I am temporarily disabling write access to the uploads folder until I do a storage upgrade next week.

Once the upgrade is complete it should add another 200Gb of online space for music.

You cannot stream off my ftp... you have to d/l the entire set first.

It is just an mp3 file and should play fine as I just loaded it into Winamp and it works.

hey i dunno where i read this at but it was to do with a cue file that comes with a set and i got it stuck in my head that with that file you can still skip to a certain "track" on a full set, is this correct? or am i an idiot, please explain

also do you got dieselboys 97octane on your ftp, preferably with each individual track a separate file, i looked around a little bit but didnt see it and honestly i dont get your file system at all, but im newb so hey ill grasp it eventually

also is the new ferry corsten only in a set file, i found the first 3 tracks but the rest werent there =(

I've explained how to use a cue file a few times in this forum so a search should bring up the info.

I dunno if I have Dieselboy or not on my ftp as there is more music that gets on there than I can sort through.

As for the file system... it is a pretty simple layout. Files come in 3 types: the mp3, a cue file and a tracklist.

The new Ferry CD is one big mp3. I don't know what you may have downloaded.

i know how to use the thing its just the folder names and shit, im always like "now where would he put that...." and i got no fuckin clue, so i just end up picking random folders and downloading whatevers in there.............TO A DEGREE

as for the ferry corsten i dunno what it was, was just 3 files in a folder and im pretty sure it was titled "Ferry Corsten - _________" i forget the name of his new cd, all i have left is the first track which was "sublime"

I think it is my fault it isn't working.

I guess I unchecked a box I shouldn't have when I turned off write access for the uploads folder. I'll go check that when I get home.
