I was wondering how all you other DJ's get booked from promoters. Was it through friends or did you guys meet at parties???...I've been spinnin breaks for about 2 years now and I think I pretty good.....but meeting the right people, it's been hard hard.......Any advice???

Well, I threw my own events to get my name out, then again, I'm catering to a more defined scene, as the hardcore scene is a bit more focussed than "RAVE"..

Do up some mixes, do some shameless promotions, send cds to promoters, offer to play for free...

Make yourself stand out from the other million djs in this town.

It's not how good you are, it's who you know and how orginal you are.

Lets face it, in this city there is a god forsaken amount of dj's.

To set yourself apart you need to know a lot of promoters. I don't mean just know of them, or they kinda know your name, I mean talk to them hear and there.

Also, you have to be orginal. Not so much in your technical skills. I mean bring something new, track selection or stage pressence.
