Everything sounding electro these days

I'm not sure if its the sites i'm ordering from but every house tune these days is sounding electro.. or trying to sound electro.

yeah i've noticed that trend in house music for the past year or so

not a bad thing imo, house needs some new ideas to keep things fresh

there's definitely cheezy ones though

my personal favorite labels for that sound: Fila Brazillia's 'Twentythree' imprint releases the dopest & most original electro-house i've heard, and of course Environ is always quality with Metro Area & the like... also Southern Fried has been kicking out some bad ass bits, a little more commercial than the others i mentioned though

Same thing with Trance; the electro trance movement is picking up a lot of steam and there have been fucking awesome electro trance tunes released in the past bit.

Personal recommendation:
Ricky Fobis - No Regular

electro breaks what! alot of people are looking for music that is familliar, those retro sounds are ever present in alot of music today.

Tomcraft got some tunes that kinda got the electro groove to it too

Electro's just got an irresistible sexiness to it that only deep house and some urban jungle has ever really touched before. The fact that there's been plenty of publicity over the last year with Tiga's Turbo and DJ Hell's IDG labels breaking through quite successfully on the club circuits doesn't hurt either.
