Sony MDR-V700DJ Headphones...

Grr... Just got a set of these 5 days ago... Was practicing spinning tonite.. Set them down for a sec, put them on again and noticed the left speaker was dead.... Pulled the cover off, tested the left wire with a multimeter, the signal is still comin in fine. Speaker must be blown.... wtf?!?! They're like brand new and they werent even turned up loud....

Next problem, I bought these on ebay and they came from the US.. Is my warranty void? What can I do. Hope someone on here can give me some info. Akeel maybe?

Either email the guy who you bought them from and ask him if he's willing to exchange it. Or call sony and say you got them as a present and they don't work no more and ask if you should ship em back in n hopefully you might get a new pair.

yah, im not sore sure that sony will honour the warantee if its not bought from an authorized dealer, which most people on ebay arent.

if it was a private seller, your fucked.

if it was an authorized dealer mail it back to them. As far as i know Sony US warranty is void in canada...so you'd be shipping back to the states.

If it was a private seller i can fix them for you.

i'm prolly just gonna go to Future Shop, buy another pair, and return the busted ones a few days later claiming they stopped working, and am unimpressed with the product and want a refund.. heh

this is why i hate ebay - good deals but if something goes wrong your fucked.

if u have multimeter i'm guessing you could handle fixing them yourself.

You can order parts for the v700 from Able Electronics - they're in the yellow pages.

yeah, i already tested it with a multimeter. power comes up to the speaker, so the wire is fine.. basically need a new speaker i'm guessing

those headphones are such a popular item, there should be a few ebay shops selling them with return polices.
