so Im not from around the west coast. Im kinda curious as to what everyone is into around there. like are you a predominatly trance city, or techno or what?

Most of us are pretty much into exactly what you guys are over on the east coast. Stan Rogers, top-40's, "new country", and bar-star R&B.

Nah - pretty much anything you want to listen to, you can find a scene for over here. The huge Plaza parties are all trance, there are a few exceptionally good house/deep house/techhouse nights, a world-class psytrance scene, a bunch of good D&B nights (with and without MC's), and even a few techno nights (tho a sad lack of schranz). Except hardcore, if you want hardcore, you should go to Winnipeg.

mux you sound like my kinda raver. I love the techno too. hear patrick dsp's new one. its pretty good. you're friends with malte? me too.

Its pretty cool that you guys have a diverse scene over there. psy trance people put on the best parties, but the music is kinda lame.

There is hardcore here, it's just that... uhhh.. none of us hardcore peeps have the time/money for throwing parties..... EXCEPT FOR DOOM< AHAHAH!

Doom will do his damndest to do at least a few hardcore parties this summer. All he needs is for people to drive stuff.

Malte and I go waaaaay back - I was really hoping to make it out to Hali this summer to perform at the Evolve festival, but sadly, no callback from the promoters. I don't get it - an outdoor festival of live music and DJs, but no live electronic music? Oh well, maybe next year. :)
