yup you can... mind you it's a lot easyer to make the track in cubase, and use reason as a synth.

Rebirth also works,,, but the track has to be made Rebirth, and played in rebirth

hmmmmm I thought you could use it with the Re-wire, that way you can do all that the VST would do,,, plus better audio in/out.

I find using Reason => Cubase SX to be a bit of a waste.

Just download a bunch of VST instruments, there are ones out there that would wipe their asses with Reason if they were dirty enough to have asses.

Check out the Crystal, Cube, Junglist, or Mercury 1 (its got 4 asses actually)

I've yet to try the Sub-bass VST. Sounds nice... well if you can say it has sound.

the thing about reason is that there a lot of nice refills out there that, with a little editing, sound really nice...

edit:

I'm having really bad problems with latency too... can I work around it?

^not if you mean traditional 16 step X0X pattern sequencing.
but screw that bullshit anyways. Cubase's midi sequencing capabilities are so much more flexible.

you can set a midi track up as a drum track though, which'll the sequencing process a bit more clicky and a bit less drawy.

(Oh my god, I just said screw roland x0x drum machines...)

ill-esha is on a distinguished road
just make a midi track, draw in a bar with the pencil, then double click on the blank bar to open up the key editor.
unless i'm missing something and your problem is something totally different..

Have you considered using Ableton Live 4?

I'm thinking of ditching Logic and using Live. The remixing capabilities are pretty insane.

Cubase SX is so completely awesome. I never get bored of it, because I am learning something new and useful everyday. For instance, I just learned how to use the automation properly (no more fade-ins, haha). Is there anything this program can't do? I have wanted to sequence midi at a different tempo than the song's audio, is this possible? Well, I used to own Cubase audio, then Cubase 5 and now I use SX. I picked up a proper crack off Ebay. The only reason I would switch to Logic is for the plug-ins.

Well, I had DJ Mark P's copy of SX and it sucked (he sucks since he stopped producing), couldn't get the midi or mixer working properly. THe problem was that the file was way smaller than what it should have been, missing DLL's I guess. Then I got a copy of SX from Ebay and I've never been happier, no problems whatsoever.
Hey, I've just finished a few trax and I will be uploading them to Zed.ca. I hope you enjoy them. However, before I load it up and make the "announcement," I need to find a hardware sampler to filter my 202 bassline, as it is too heavy on top on the 106 bassline. I personally like it fine, but I think a nice filter would be dope. I am going to make a call or two to see who has a decent sampler kiking around.
Hey I called you ^^ but I hear you were out of town, I rememeber you said you had some good monitors and I was hoping to book an hour to mix my levels. Give me a call..
