I fuckin' love speed garage... always have and always will. Last year at shambhala there was 1 speed garage dj and he played all old trax, I knew them all and I was quite bored......

Whether you are going 2 shambhala or not just help me make the statement that you would love to see just 1 big & bad speed garage dj play at this festival .

DO it if you love speed garage & for the sake of all the sg junkies that are going next year! woo!

Maybe if you weren't so daft and actually knew what you were talking about I'd formulate an articulated response.

Give it a closer listen, it's that drowned out bassline that makes it speed garage, and it's characteristic in every single song. Very similar to how those damn annoying rolling basslines infiltrate every single jump up track; IT'S WHAT MAKES IT CHARACTERISTIC OF THE GOD DAMNED GENRE!!!!

I think maybe you should be the one giving it a listen.

It's all about fat moving b-lines to move a crowd. It's an artform that's was influenced raggae sound systems back before my day IMO. It's about blasting lots of bass out of the sound system filling the room with a warmth vibration. Raggae sound systems ultimately influenced UKGarage and most forms of jungle / drum & bass. Respect.

sorry for the negativity but i really can't stand it...

i find it hillariously appauling that a droned out cheezyass bassline could actually make a name for an actual genre. if speed garage was termed as house and these djs were actually able to mix shit up alot more rather than play a set full of only speed garage i wouldn't complain so much. but how the fuck can people stand more than 20 minutes of constant speed garage?!!??!

back in the day i sat through a static party for too long enduring all this fuckin speed garage. what a fuckin horrible party.

and that bassline is horrible... hearing it in dnb, breaks.... fuck sake man it sounds so ghetto and SO fucking stupid. i really never understood the appeal.

sorry again i just cant relate to it and the people who are head over heels over that shit.
