pressing vinyl

so my buddy has beats on cd, and he wants them pressed to vinyl. where can he get this done?

already googled it, only found places that do packages. he just wants 10-20 cuts per track

Uhh... there's 1 in California I know of that will do a small amount of cuts like that. I'll see if I can get the info off a friend of mine who did it.

10 to 20 cuts per track is gonna cost him $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

you pay about $500 to $750 for the mastered - master plate, then it's about $2 each record after that.

dubplates seem like the better option for him in this case. i'm gonna google that and see whats up

Most cutting houses will only do minimum runs of at least 300. His best bet is to cut dubplates, which as Dabbler mentioned, wear out after about 30 plays. He does have the option of getting a vinyl (instead of acetate) dubplate cut, but those wll run you about $20-30/plate more than acetates. I recommend www.turnstylerecords.com for your cutting needs.

^thanks for the info. they dont have pricing on vinyl dubplates which is definately what he'd be looking for, but i'll drop them a line and see whats up.

They don't cut vinyl dubs there, only acetates.
