HAK 310 - I'm reading some great and not so great reviews on it. The main not-so-good quality is the fact that many people (on german web forums) are swapping crossfaders with the Ecler's. Is that a good sign, or are people just being hardcore and choosing to do that for enthusiast reasons.. (it was in german... so when i got it translated, i didn't know whether to read between the lines or not)

PMC05 - i've always dreamed of ownign a Vestax. but. it's pretty baller in price. and if i get the pmc05, i won't be able to upgrade my cell phone too. heh.

Pioneer 707 - I found it online on a couple of sites for $300 USD. If i really am basing my whole purchasing strategy on 'you get what you pay for' than is this quality mixer now obsolete? or is it cheaper because Pioneer is just bringing out all of their newer age stuff (like the 909)? WHY is this mixer dropping in price?!?!

anyways, thoughts?

sound quality on the pioneer probably beats the other mixers you listed, plus the fader on the pioneer is apparently crazy good

pioneer sound quality is shit, just look at a 600.

for home use a 600 sounds ok at best...at a party hooked up to a large system it sounds like shite compared to the clarity you get off something like an allen & heath, rane or ecler.

ecler's are nice, but I'd still rather have a Rane :)

hmm, the 600 has gone from the industry standard, to shite? hmm, what happened there? What happened to the 600 in the past few years that has made it so much more inferior while it's still the most used mixer at any major show?
