Oh man.. 3 concerts?

K, eliminating just DJ nights...

The triple bill of Dandy Warhols, Wilco and REM in the summer of 2003 has to be one of them. I think I was the only person to attend both that AND Radiohead (both at T-bird stadium) the next night. And lemme tell ya, Radiohead were no slouches but they don't make my top 3.

I used to be a huge Everclear fan (you know, when they didn't suck so very much).. and of the 4 times I saw them, their show at the Plaza of nations (1998?) was definetly when it all came together. Add that to the fact I'd scammed out of work and was still getting PAID while I was at the show and you've got a good time!

I've seen some pretty good hip hop shows, but maybe no-one was better at live MCing than Jurrasic 5 @ the commodore.. some great MCs don't come across very well on stage cuz they aren't intelligible outside of a studio (Gift of Gab comes to mind..), but J5's vocal rhythms were impeccable, to the point of being harmonious. Add Cut Chemist and Nu-Mark to the mix and that was a flawless show.. (It was the power in numbers tour, so they had that much more material to work with).

Honorable mentions:

Dandy Warhols (doing it all on their own for 1 and 1/2 hours at richards on richards, as opposed to the brief set in the aforementioned T-bird stadium show)
